xCurrent 4.0 Goes Live – 2019 is The Year of Implementation According to David Schwartz

Mondays have a love/hate relationship with most. Most of us hate it because it means back to work and back to the grind for another 5 days. 8-5 same routine, same desk, same old people same boring emails.  But as of late some of us have come to really enjoy Mondays. Why is that you ask? Well, it’s the start of a new week which means more news from Ripple in regards to what the company is doing and more great news on XRP and the progress the #1 digital asset is achieving.  So this past Monday, May 6th, was no different. It actually turned out to be a great Monday Morning as we got news from David Schwartz Ripple’s chief technology officer (CTO) that xCurrent 4.0 is live.

We covered a news story back in February which you can read here: XRP News – 2019 is the year of connectivity David Schwartz was asked what he thought 2019 was going to be about and he stated “I dont have a crystal ball, but my guy is telling me connectivity.” This is exactly what we are seeing with Xcurrent 4.0. COnnecting the 200 banks to a path that allows them to use XRP.

So why is this such a big deal? As we learned months ago, xCurrent 4.0 has a seamless integration into RippleNet. xCurrent is Ripple’s enterprise software product that will enable the usage of XRP. The best part about all of this is that the existing 200 customers will now have access to XRP if they wanted to step out of there comfort zones and use a digital asset to send money cross-border. Now don’t get me wrong this isn’t the simple “flip of a switch”, David Schwartz has stated that this is a complex process and will take some time. But regardless this is great news!
David also went on to tweet:

So as the update isn’t mandatory for the existing customers, we do belive that most will want to implement. RippleNet has been running smoothly for quite some time now, no issues no hiccups no downtime, no backlogs. Who wouldn’t want to use XRP to save an additional 30-50%?
