XRP Investment: How Much to Hold to Hit $1M by 2026

-

Investors eyeing XRP have often wondered how much of the digital asset they need to hold to potentially become a millionaire. Recent insights from crypto analysts Abdullah “Abs” Nassif and Johnny, featured on the Good Evening Crypto show, offer some clarity. Their discussion centered on XRP’s price trajectory over the next 12 to 24 months, highlighting achievable milestones given the evolving regulatory climate and increasing institutional interest.

According to Nassif, several bullish factors make XRP’s future highly promising. One major development is Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s upcoming testimony before the U.S. Senate Banking Committee. Alongside that, the pending discussion of the Crypto Clarity Act in Congress is expected to add significant momentum to market sentiment. Nassif believes this can accelerate adoption, especially across banking and Wall Street sectors.

He pointed out that XRP holders can benchmark their portfolios using the XRP Rich List. As it stands, individuals with 2,500 XRP join the top 10% of holders globally, while it takes 51,300 XRP to reach the top 1%. Nassif emphasized that many underestimate the relative affordability of joining these elite ranks and sees XRP as poised to mirror — not outperform — Bitcoin’s historical gains over the next few years.

While not needing to reinvent the wheel, XRP could well benefit from its alignment with financial institutions and growing use cases. Nassif suggested that if XRP simply follows Bitcoin’s growth curve, price targets of $10, $20, or even $50 could be realistic within a year or two. Factors like clearer regulations, ISO 20022 upgrades, the rise of stablecoins, and institutional buy-in are expected to play crucial roles in reaching these figures.

Taking it further, Johnny provided a breakdown of how much XRP one needs to accumulate to reach millionaire status, breaking projections into speculative and utility phases. In a conservative estimate where XRP reaches $10–12, an investor would need to hold approximately 100,000 XRP, which equals about $232,000 at current prices. But under a speculative surge that puts XRP at $54, a more modest 18,000 XRP — or roughly $41,760 — would suffice.

Johnny sees the most practical estimate as somewhere in between, with XRP possibly hitting $25 over the next 24 months. To hit the million-dollar mark under this scenario, an individual would need to hold around 40,000 XRP.

This range — between 18,000 and 100,000 XRP — represents the projected threshold someone needs to cross to become an XRP millionaire, based on timing and how the market reacts post-regulation. However, as Nassif pointed out, this window of affordability is closing rapidly. In just a year, the cost of holding 2,500 XRP surged from $500 to over $5,000, showing how quickly the asset is appreciating.

He also noted mounting competition, as major corporations are reportedly preparing to add XRP to their corporate reserves. This institutional adoption could make it increasingly difficult for average retail investors to accumulate large positions.

Estimations suggest that becoming a top 1% XRP holder today requires an investment of around $100,000. If XRP were to soar to $50 — as Johnny speculated — that investment could balloon to $5 million, making the potential returns exceptionally high.

Nassif believes holding 25,000 XRP could be enough to reach millionaire status during XRP’s anticipated growth arc. His rationale isn’t based on speculative hype but rather grounded in how the broader digital asset market is progressing and allocating capital. In comparison to Bitcoin, he argued that XRP presents a higher growth ceiling. Bitcoin would need to add $2 trillion in market capitalization to double, while XRP would only require about $130 billion — a far smaller lift relatively speaking.

Johnny concluded with a sense of urgency, encouraging investors not to delay. As highlighted by influencers like Edoardo Farina, the fear is that many will be priced out of acquiring meaningful amounts of XRP before they even realize the opportunity is gone.
