XRP Price Prediction: Can Ripple Hit $10 by 2030?

-

XRP price prediction has become a hot topic within the cryptocurrency world as investors evaluate Ripple’s growth prospects heading into the next decade. With Ripple ending its prolonged legal feud with the SEC and positioning itself as a disruptor in the cross-border payments space, many analysts anticipate significant price appreciation by 2030.

Over the last year, XRP experienced substantial gains, particularly following the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Optimism about a crypto-friendly administration helped push XRP from around $0.50 to $3.30 — a 559% increase. A pivotal moment came in August 2025 when Ripple and the SEC mutually agreed to drop their appeals, effectively concluding their long-running court battle.

This legal resolution paved the way for broader adoption and renewed investor confidence. Analysts from Bitwise foresee XRP reaching $12.68 by 2030, while Standard Chartered projects a value of $12.25. A more conservative estimate suggests XRP could reasonably reach the $10 mark by that time, still representing a strong return over five years.

Ripple, the blockchain company behind XRP, is carving out a niche in the international payments market with its payment network — a faster and more cost-effective alternative to the traditional SWIFT system. SWIFT currently manages around $150 trillion in annual transactions, used by most global financial institutions. Ripple’s network, by contrast, settles transactions in three to five seconds and at a cost of under one cent, significantly undercutting SWIFT’s $15 to $30 transfer fees.

Crucially, XRP functions as a bridge currency within Ripple’s on-demand liquidity (ODL) solution. This enables financial firms to seamlessly convert fiat currencies to XRP, transfer funds quickly across borders, and convert back to the destination currency in seconds. Although usage isn’t mandatory, greater adoption of Ripple’s network could naturally drive increased demand for XRP.

Ripple’s CEO recently stated the company could handle up to 14% of SWIFT’s transaction volume — roughly $21 trillion — within five years. While that projection is ambitious, even capturing a fraction of that market could significantly boost XRP’s value.

Another potential catalyst for growth is the potential approval of a spot-based XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF). After the SEC greenlit ETFs for Bitcoin and Ethereum — the two largest cryptocurrencies — XRP appears to be next in line. According to the current odds on Polymarket, there’s an 82% chance of XRP ETF approval by the end of 2025. Even if approval takes longer, many expect it’s a matter of ‘when,’ not ‘if.’

Such an ETF would provide a regulated, convenient entry point for institutional investors and could dramatically increase buying volume. For instance, Bitcoin ETFs have coincided with a 155% rise in Bitcoin’s valuation. If XRP demonstrates even half of that impact, the token could surpass $8 easily — and possibly reach the $10 target over the next several years.

XRP still carries significant volatility, like other cryptocurrencies. Market sentiment and regulatory headlines can swing prices dramatically. Nonetheless, if Ripple achieves wider adoption and receives ETF approval, XRP stands a fair chance of delivering strong long-term returns.

Ultimately, XRP should be considered part of a wider, diversified investment portfolio. Given potential fluctuations and market unpredictability, balancing crypto with stable assets like stocks and index funds remains a prudent approach.
